Strength for Your Inner Spirit
Ephesians 3:16 (NLT) “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”
Most of us know that we are made of three parts: Body, Soul, and Spirit. To strengthen your body, you eat the right foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and proteins. Working out at the gym, doing cardio exercises and weightlifting, is very beneficial. And finally, get proper rest and sleep. All these things strengthen the body. To strengthen the mind, you engage in reading and positive conversation. Information feeds the brain. Whether academic, puzzle challenges, or creative work. Exercising creativity stimulates the brain, which, in turn, strengthens it. Another activity that strengthens your brain is memorization. Especially when you memorize Bible Scriptures. So how do you strengthen your spirit?
One way of strengthening your inner spirit is through fasting. After a couple of days, your body will scream to your mind that it wants food. But you spend time feeding your mind and spirit the Word of God. The second way is when God directly empowers your spirit. You must humble yourself and submit to His obedience. Praying and asking God for His strength does get His attention, but He only responds to humility and sincerity.
The third way God strengthens your spirit is through tests.
1 Peter 5:10 (NLT) “…So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”
Remember, Jesus was led into the wilderness full of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1), but when He came out of the wilderness, He was filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. (Luke 4:14)
God wants to pour out His power to you through His grace, so that your spirit will be strengthened and you will be more than a conqueror.
Be Blessed!
