Faith In God

Hebrews 11:6 (Amplified)But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].”

Have you ever wondered why you don’t have a deeper connection to God as you desire?  Or maybe from your perspective everything is good.  If you go to church, pay your tithe, sing in the choir, support the usher board, or greet people on Sunday morning as they enter the church, you’re good.  When Church is done, the family goes out to eat at your favorite restaurant (Cracker Barrel, Luby’s, or Pappadeauxs if you live in Texas.) Sadly, none of those acts are a guarantee in strengthening your relationship with God.  When there is a need from God, most will either go to the prayer line and beg God to intervene, or they will talk about what God can do, while still waiting for their miracle.  What is missing is your faith in God.

This scripture defines our relationship with God our Heavenly Father.  Without having faith in place, your relationship with God is just you knowing about Him, or part of your conversation to others.  That was one of the biggest problems the children of Israel had while traveling through the wilderness.  They saw God’s miracles while in Egypt with the Pharoah.  They saw God’s perform a miracle by parting the Red Sea to allow them to walk on dry land.  They saw manna (Bread from Heaven) feed their families every day.  And witnessing Moses strike a rock and millions of gallons of water gushing out to satisfy their thirst.  Yet, when it came to taking the land of Canaan, they had no faith that God will give them the victory.

If you want a stronger relationship with God, have faith in Him.  Trust what He said He would do in His Word.  You must believe that He exists, He is real and is not a state of the mind.  Believe that He can do All things; not just for others, but for you.  Believe that He is a rewarder if you consistently and diligently seek after Him.

Remember, God has everything and knows everything.  God can create anything He wants.  The only thing that pleases Him is having faith in Him.  But consider this: Having faith in God is not to feed His ego.  Having faith in God is for you!

Be Blessed
