The Lord is Near You
Psalm 145:18 (NKJV) “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.”
While walking in the park, I was thinking about the Lord and thinking about prayer. At the end of my walk, I was very tired, drank some water, and sat in the car for a little bit, while continuing to think about the Lord. When I looked up in the sky, I saw something in the clouds that nearly brought tears to my eyes. It was the silhouette of Jesus lying down horizontally, looking upward in the sky.
Several years ago, my best friend and I wrote a song called “Standing Right There!” The hook part of the song sort of asks the question, “If you ever need him, He’s standing right there.”
Here is my point. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are always close to you, more than you realize. If you are a Christian believer, they live inside of you. Jesus told His disciples just before He ascended into Heaven that He would be with them even to the ends of the earth. There is nothing that will separate you from the love of God. I’m not saying that Jesus is in the clouds. He was reminding me that He heard me, and He is aware of my eagerness to seek after Him continually.
Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
If you are feeling alone, worried, afraid, or unsure of what to do. Call on the name of Jesus, and He will respond. God wants you to call upon Him because He is the creator, He created you, He knows your thoughts, and He has all the answers to your questions. I can’t promise you that He will answer all your questions immediately. But over time, He will answer.
