Wait On Him
Isaiah 41:31 (Amplified): “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]
Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.”
Have you ever wondered whether your life is ahead of God or lagging? Some people wake up at the crack of dawn, ready to tackle everything on the list they made the day before. Others slide out of bed with the bedsheets still wrapped around them, just after they hit the snooze button on their alarm clock for the 3rd time. Instead of wondering what they can get done for the day, they wonder when the day will be over so they can crawl back in bed. Am I singing to the right choir?
This scripture resonates with something inside that will excite you. If you ever want to know the fullness of your purpose, why you were created, and how it connects to the One who gave you your purpose from the beginning, you must go to the source. God tells you the level of effort that He wants. You must:
- Wait for the Lord – Placing aside your wants to seek after Him.
- Expect the Lord – Having full confidence and knowing in the Lord.
- Hope in the Lord – This establishes your focus and mind on the Lord.
All these attributes are actions of faith. Now the benefits of waiting, expecting, and hoping in the Lord are powerful.
- You gain new strength – Physical and Mental strength.
- You gain renewed power – Power is also known as ability.
- You lift up your wings and rise – This is setting a goal or purpose, and you begin to rise and move toward it.
- You will run and not get weary – Most people get discouraged when their dreams and desires are not met. God gives you long-lasting stamina to never give up on your purpose. Running gets you to your destination quicker.
- You will walk and not faint – This is similar to running, but you are walking. You’re not achieving your goals or reaching your destination as quickly as you’d like, but you’re still moving in the direction God guides you. God cares about both the journey and the destination.
God has a plan and destiny for you. If you take the moment to wait for Him, you will walk, run, and soar to your destiny. You will be so glad you waited on Him.
Be Blessed!
