Give Thanks To The Lord
Psalm 30:11,12 (NLT) “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,12 that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!”
Have you ever taken the time to reflect on your worst moments in life, then think about where you are today? Or consider the things that you’ve lost in the past and the pain they caused? Just thinking of those things could be enough to cause grief. Despite the bad things we go through, God is sovereign, and He watches over us.
King David constantly worshiped and thanked the Lord.
Psalm 103:2 (NLT) “Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4 He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. 5 He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagles!”
David never forgot about all the things God had done for him. David worshiped the Lord with his whole heart. David danced and sang before the Lord. He felt no shame about what he was doing. Here is a challenge for you: every day for thirty days, find something to thank the Lord for and what He has done for you. Do it each day for thirty days. I promise you will not be the same.
God loves to hear from you when you are thankful and grateful.
